On January 17th, the trial began on charged antifascist from Brest for fight with local neo-nazis (fight occurred on May 8th last year). Accused young man – Dmitri Zvanko, who is accused for intentionally causing serious bodily injuries (art. 147.2 CC RB), faces 5-10 years imprisonment.
Andrei Izotov, ‘victim’, filed a motion to close the process, citing the fact that he’s scared for his safety because of threats on the Internet. The judge granted the motion and removed from hall all existents, including the mother of accused. This, there is no informations about the process. Next meeting was held this morning (January 21.)
To remind – there is organised fund for Zvanko’s lawyer. His mother doesn’t have enough to pay all the costs.
