January 15th – Minsk group of activists painted stencils depicting CCTV with text: Come out of control. They protest total surveillance of citizens which will be further enhanced in conjunction with the World Hockey Championship. To remind – last year Belarus signed laws to install cameras on all sports obetah, hotels, railway stations as well as in public places. More informations you can find here. In October was launched project ‘Census of cameras’ which allowed to map cameras in Minsk. At this point on the map is more than 450 cameras.
